Job Description

About the Role

As a 2D artist at RubyPlay, you will be responsible for creating high-quality visuals for the company's innovative games. Your day-to-day tasks will include designing and developing 2D assets, such as symbols, backgrounds, and characters, to ensure a seamless and engaging gaming experience. You will be part of a talented team of professionals who share a passion for gaming and art.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of design fundamentals, including color, light, volume, perspective, and spatial thinking. You should be able to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines without compromising on quality.

What You Will Do

  • Create consistent sets of symbols with a clear visual hierarchy
  • Design deep atmospheres and backgrounds that set the mood and guide the player's focus
  • Develop charismatic characters and prepare assets for animation
  • Design intuitive in-game UI, including interface elements, typography, and banners
  • Create cool and functional UI pop-ups and features
  • Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and develop new game ideas
  • Work on conceptualizing and drawing clearly readable stages and visual upgrades
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality 2D assets on time
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the company's mission

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong fundamentals in design, color, light, volume, perspective, and spatial thinking
  • Excellent understanding of the iGaming genre and technical requirements
  • Independence and ability to work without micromanagement
  • Confident spoken English for comfortable communication and teamwork
  • Strong portfolio that showcases commercial and personal work
  • Experience with AI tools, such as Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, and Nano Banana
  • Understanding of modeling, color, and composition before using AI tools
  • Excellent prompt design and parameter control capabilities

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Spine 2D/3D or other software for block-outs
  • WIPs from past projects
  • Experience with slots or other iGaming genres
