Job Description
About the Role
As a 2D Game Design Intern at Playpower Labs, you'll join a dynamic team focused on creating engaging EdTech games powered by AI.Responsibilities
- Collaborate on designing game worlds, characters, and visual themes for K-8 learners.
- Create UI screens from initial concepts to high-fidelity Figma mockups.
- Design various 2D game assets, including characters, backgrounds, icons, and UI components.
- Develop mood boards and style treatments appropriate for young audiences.
- Utilize AI art tools to generate and refine game art, ensuring high visual standards.
- Edit and finalize assets in Photoshop and Figma for production readiness.
Requirements
- Strong fundamentals of visual design, including color, typography, and layout.
- Sensitivity to age-appropriate design for children, ensuring readability and emotional engagement.
- Proficiency in AI art tools (like ChatGPT, Midjourney) as well as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with Figma, including prototyping and auto-layout features.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Nice to Have
- Basic skills in animation tools (Lottie, After Effects).
- Prior experience in EdTech or designing for children's products.
