About the Role
The Account Development Executive role at Justworks is a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking, operational expertise, and sales acumen to drive revenue growth and improve customer experience. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer success, underwriting, and product, to identify areas of friction in the upsell process and develop creative solutions to overcome them. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing an end-to-end upsell pipeline, running pilots and tests to optimize different product lines, and partnering with product teams to reduce friction in the upsell process.As a trusted advisor to Justworks' smaller customers, you will provide expert-level support and guidance on the company's product and service offerings, helping them to navigate complex concepts and make informed decisions about their business needs. Your ability to communicate complex ideas in simple, user-friendly terms will be essential in this role, as will your capacity to display a high level of professionalism and compassion when working with each account.
What You Will Do
- Upsell current customers on Justworks' products to drive revenue growth and improve customer experience
- Identify areas of friction in the upsell process and develop creative solutions to overcome them
- Manage an end-to-end upsell pipeline, including prospecting, cold calling, nurturing, engaging, presenting, negotiating, and closing
- Run pilots and tests to optimize different product lines and improve upsell conversion rates
- Partner with product teams to reduce friction in the upsell process and improve the overall customer experience
- Provide expert-level support and guidance to customers on Justworks' product and service offerings
- Explain complex concepts in simple, user-friendly terms to help customers make informed decisions
- Display a high level of professionalism and compassion when working with each account
- Perform other duties as needed to support the growth and success of the company
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in sales, account development, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in upselling products and driving revenue growth
- Strong understanding of sales principles, including prospecting, cold calling, and closing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Adjust, and Excel, with the ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas of friction and develop creative solutions
- High level of professionalism and compassion, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Knowledge of the HR and benefits industry, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as HubSpot or Salesforce
