About the Role
The Account Director, Digital Native, plays a pivotal role in OpenAI's mission to make artificial general intelligence (AGI) safe and beneficial for humanity. This role is centered around helping customers understand and deploy OpenAI's highly capable AI models across their businesses. The position involves working closely with various stakeholders, including researchers, engineers, and solution strategists, to evolve industries with AI. The role is based in Seoul, South Korea, and operates on a hybrid work model, offering relocation assistance to new employees.The sales team at OpenAI is tasked with a unique mission: to help customers grasp the profound impact that highly capable AI models can have on their businesses and users. What You Will Do
- Manage a dozen key accounts, developing and executing comprehensive account plans tailored to each customer's needs.
- Lead enterprise prospects through their journey, from consideration to successful deployment of AI solutions.
- Collaborate with solutions and research engineering teams to build and execute complex customer programs and projects.
- Own and manage consumption revenue targets, ensuring consistent growth and alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze key account metrics to create insightful reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor the industry landscape closely, keeping abreast of competitors, partners, and market trends to contribute to product roadmap and corporate strategies.
- Work closely with various departments, including solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new teammates, contributing to the growth and development of the sales team.
- Participate in the development of company culture, fostering an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration.
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service, with a proven track record of achieving revenue targets.
- Experience in designing and executing complex deal strategies, with the ability to think strategically and drive growth.
- A background in supporting the growth of fast-growing, high-performance companies, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with rapid expansion.
- Direct experience working with C-level executives, providing strategic guidance and support to drive business decisions.
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to customers and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Experience in leading high-visibility customer events, such as customer advisory boards, conferences, product launches, and more.
- A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to gather, distill, and process complex market intelligence.
