About the Role
The Account Director, Digital Natives - DACH role at Openai is a unique opportunity to join a team of innovators and pioneers in the field of artificial intelligence. As a key member of the Go To Market team, you will be responsible for driving sales cycles, partnering with solutions, and growing revenue. Your day-to-day will involve working closely with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders to stay up-to-date on the latest product developments.The role is based in Munich, Germany, and offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office per week. Relocation assistance is available for new employees. As a leader in the sales team, you will be expected to build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities, lead enterprise prospects' journeys from consideration to successful deployment, and partner with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex customer programs and projects.
What You Will Do
- Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
- Lead our enterprise prospects' journeys from consideration to successful deployment
- Partner with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex customer programs and projects
- Own a consumption revenue target and manage consumption revenue forecasts
- Analyze opportunity metrics to create reports and provide insights to internal stakeholders
- Closely monitor the industry landscape to contribute to product roadmap and other corporate strategies
- Collaborate with solutions, marketing, communications, business operations, people operations, finance, product management, and engineering
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of other teammates
- Support the development of company culture
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service
- Achieving revenue targets >M per year for more than 3 years
- Managing and executing complex sales cycles with enterprise customers
- Closing deals with fast-growing, high-performance companies
- Working directly with c-level executives
- Communicating technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
- Leading high-visibility customer events
- Gathering, distilling, and processing complex market intelligence
- Fluency in English and German required
Nice to Have
- Experience working in the AI or tech industry
- Knowledge of GTM strategies and sales methodologies
- Familiarity with API platform sales and partnerships
- Experience working in a hybrid or remote work environment
