## About the Role As an Account Director, Education at OpenAI, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of AI solutions among education institutions. Your expertise in GTM strategies will be crucial in helping these institutions harness the power of AI to enhance their operations and improve student outcomes. You'll work closely with a team of professionals, including sales, solutions, support, marketing, and partnership experts, to create valuable solutions that bring AI to a wider audience. The education sector is undergoing a significant transformation, with AI poised to revolutionize the way institutions operate and deliver education. As an Account Director, you'll be at the forefront of this transformation, working with universities, K-12 institutions, and other education providers to evaluate and adopt OpenAI's products. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading enterprise prospects' journeys from consideration to purchase, partnering with internal stakeholders to build and execute complex customer evaluations, demos, and pilots, and forecasting pipeline and targets on a weekly basis.
## What You Will Do - Lead the development and execution of GTM strategies to drive revenue growth and expand OpenAI's presence in the education sector - Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at education institutions, including administrators, faculty members, and IT professionals - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deliver complex sales proposals, demos, and pilots that showcase the value of OpenAI's products - Provide expertise and thought leadership on AI adoption and deployment in the education sector, working closely with researchers, engineers, and solution strategists - Forecast and manage pipeline and sales targets, providing regular updates to senior management and other stakeholders - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments, contributing to product roadmap and corporate strategies as needed - Support the recruitment and onboarding of new teammates, helping to build a high-performing sales team - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of OpenAI's products and services, including ChatGPT Enterprise, and communicate their value proposition to customers and prospects - Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and messaging that resonate with education institutions and promote OpenAI's products - Gather, distill, and process complex market intelligence, including customer feedback, competitor activity, and industry trends
## What We Are Looking For - A minimum of 6 years of experience in selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service solutions, preferably in the education sector - A proven track record of achieving revenue targets in excess of
