About the Role
The Account Director, Financial Services role at OpenAI is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of the financial services industry and the ability to leverage AI to drive business growth. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans to help financial institutions deploy OpenAI's technology. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, solutions, support, marketing, and partnerships.The financial services industry is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by advances in technology and changing consumer behaviors. AI is playing a key role in this transformation, enabling institutions to automate processes, enhance customer experiences, and improve risk management. As an Account Director at OpenAI, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, working with leading financial institutions to identify opportunities for AI adoption and driving revenue growth.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and expand OpenAI's presence in the financial services industry
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers at leading financial institutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy AI-powered solutions that meet the needs of financial institutions
- Provide thought leadership on the application of AI in financial services, including industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Partner with the solutions team to develop and deliver customized AI solutions for financial institutions
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns targeting the financial services industry
- Represent OpenAI at industry conferences and thought-leadership events
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to identify opportunities for AI adoption
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of OpenAI's products and services, including their applications and limitations
What We Are Looking For
- 14+ years of experience selling complex enterprise software or platform-as-a-service solutions to financial institutions
- 4+ years of experience selling to financial services, with a deep understanding of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies
- Proven track record of achieving annual revenue targets in excess of $2M+ in regulated industries
- Experience managing C-suite relationships and developing strategic account plans
- Strong understanding of financial services workflows, including trading, risk management, and compliance
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute complex deal and partnership strategies
- Customer-centric approach, with the ability to translate complex business needs into transformative AI solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience working with AI or machine learning technologies, including natural language processing and computer vision
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing the use of AI in financial services, including GDPR and CCPA
- Experience working with cloud-based technologies, including AWS or Azure
- Certification in AI or machine learning, such as Certified Data Scientist or Certified AI Engineer
