About the Role

The Account Director, FSI role at Openai is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical, business, and leadership skills. As a key member of the Go To Market team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and leading the charge in Japan's Financial Services Industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, solutions, support, marketing, and partnerships, to create valuable solutions that help bring AI to as many users as possible.

The role is based in Tokyo, Japan, and requires a deep understanding of the local market and native-level Japanese language proficiency. You will be working in a hybrid work model, with three days in the office per week, and will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about AI and its potential to transform industries.

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for managing a dozen key accounts in the Financial Services Industry, developing and executing comprehensive account plans, and leading enterprise prospects' journeys from consideration to successful deployment. You will also partner with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex customer programs and projects, and own a consumption revenue target.

What You Will Do

  • Manage key accounts in the Financial Services Industry, developing and executing comprehensive account plans

  • Partner with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex customer programs and projects
  • Own a consumption revenue target and manage consumption revenue forecasts
  • Analyze key account metrics to create reports and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Closely monitor the industry landscape to contribute to product roadmap and other corporate strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, solutions, support, marketing, and partnerships
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of other teammates
  • Support the development of company culture

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service in the Financial Services Industry
  • Native-level Japanese language proficiency
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets >
    M per year for more than 3 years
  • Experience designing and executing complex deal strategies
  • Strong understanding of go-to-market best practices
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience leading high-visibility customer events
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
