About the Role

The Account Director, Large Enterprise (FSI) role at Openai presents a unique opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to lead the charge in helping financial services institutions harness the power of artificial intelligence to transform their businesses. As a key member of Openai's Go To Market team, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive account plans, driving revenue growth, and fostering deep, strategic relationships with C-level executives and other stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, devising and implementing tailored strategies to drive AI adoption and revenue growth.
  • Lead customers through the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to successful deployment of Openai's AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including solutions engineers, researchers, and product managers, to build and deliver complex customer programs and projects.
  • Own and manage consumption revenue targets, providing forecasts and insights to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze key account metrics, creating reports and presenting findings to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies, using this intelligence to contribute to product roadmaps and corporate strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and finance, to align efforts and drive business outcomes.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of new team members, contributing to the growth and development of Openai's sales organization.
  • Embed yourself in the financial services industry, understanding the priorities, challenges, and opportunities of key players and using this knowledge to inform sales strategies and customer engagements.

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience selling platform-as-a-service or software-as-a-service solutions to large financial services institutions in South East Asia.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, including trends, challenges, and the role of AI in driving business transformation.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets in excess of $2 million per year for at least three consecutive years.
  • Experience in designing and executing complex deal strategies, with a focus on large enterprise sales.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience, with a history of managing high-performing sales teams and mentoring junior professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and other senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in analyzing market intelligence and informing business decisions.
