About the Role
As an Account Director focused on Manufacturing at Openai, you will be responsible for building and maintaining executive-level relationships with leading manufacturers. Your primary goal will be to help these companies understand the potential of Openai's AI technology and develop strategies for its effective deployment. This role requires a unique blend of technical understanding, industry expertise, and vision, as well as the ability to drive value-driven strategies.The manufacturing sector is undergoing a significant transformation, with AI and machine learning playing a crucial role in this process. As an Account Director, you will be at the forefront of this change, working closely with customers to identify high-impact use cases for AI across their operations. Your expertise will be essential in helping manufacturers navigate the complexities of AI adoption, from initial consideration to successful deployment.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for key manufacturing accounts
- Build trusted relationships with senior executives and business leaders across various functions
- Identify and scale high-impact use cases for AI across manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with solutions and research engineering to build and execute complex customer programs
- Analyze key account metrics to create reports and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
- Navigate complex enterprise environments involving legacy systems, operational technology, and security requirements
- Own a consumption revenue target and manage consumption revenue forecasts
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the manufacturing industry, including emerging AI use cases and technologies
- Partner with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and product management, to drive business growth
- Support the development of company culture and recruit and onboard new teammates
What We Are Looking For
- 14+ years of experience selling platform-as-a-service and/or software-as-a-service solutions
- Significant experience selling complex enterprise technology solutions to large manufacturing organizations
- A strong understanding of the manufacturing industry, including its business models, operational environments, and transformation priorities
- Experience developing executive relationships across various functions, such as technology, engineering, and operations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and provide insights
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, as well as cloud-based solutions
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Openai's AI technology or similar solutions
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry-specific technologies, such as SCADA systems or MES
- Certification in sales, marketing, or a related field
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment
