About the Role

The Account Director, Mid-Market role at OpenAI is a pivotal position that will drive the company's growth in the APAC region. As a key member of the Mid-Market team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies, managing a portfolio of accounts, and building strong relationships with c-level executives.

The role will involve working closely with the Sales, Solutions, Support, Marketing, and Partnership teams to create valuable solutions that will help bring AI to as many users as possible. You will be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the AI market and apply this knowledge to drive business growth.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for the APAC region
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, including named account pursuits and programmatic sales via OpenAI partners
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with c-level executives and other key decision-makers
  • Collaborate with the Solutions and Research Engineering teams to build and execute complex customer programs and projects
  • Own and manage consumption revenue targets and forecasts
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding of new teammates
  • Contribute to the development of company culture and values
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the AI market and apply this knowledge to drive business growth
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns
  • Provide feedback and insights to the Product team to inform product development

What We Are Looking For

  • 7+ years of direct selling experience in Data and AI or Cloud
  • Proven track record of designing and executing complex go-to-market strategies
  • Experience in orchestrating programmatic sales motions with partners
  • Strong understanding of the AI market and its key players
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with c-level executives and other key decision-makers
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with AI tools and technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
