Job Description

About the Role

The Account Executive role at Gorgias is a critical component of the company's growth strategy in the APAC region. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from initial discovery to close, and driving expansion opportunities with existing customers. Your primary focus will be on selling Gorgias' core product offerings to e-commerce brands across APAC, with a emphasis on the Australian market.

The sales team at Gorgias is known for its high-performance culture, ranked in the top 10% of sales organizations by RepVue. As an Account Executive, you will be expected to own a quota and optimize your process to exceed it. You will also partner with the Marketing and Partnerships teams to qualify and convert inbound leads, ensuring a smooth customer transition post-sale.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the full sales cycle from inbound discovery to demo to close
  • Manage select cross-sell and expansion opportunities with existing Gorgias customers
  • Sell Gorgias' core product offerings to e-commerce brands across APAC
  • Own a quota and optimize your process to exceed it
  • Partner with Marketing and Partnerships teams to qualify and convert inbound leads
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth customer transition post-sale
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities
  • Develop and deliver customized demos to showcase Gorgias' products
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Provide ongoing support and account management to existing customers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity, using this knowledge to inform sales strategies

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven sales performer with 2-3+ years of closing experience, ideally in SaaS
  • Comfortable running discovery, live demos, and navigating multi-stakeholder deals with new and existing customers
  • Consistently exceed quota targets, with a strong desire to grow and improve
  • Excellent communicator and persuasive storyteller with strong listening skills
  • Ability to simplify complex solutions into clear business value
  • Experience selling to or working within the e-commerce space
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed, with a strong ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Coachable, curious, and humble, with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, including prospecting, qualifying, and closing
