About the Role

As an Account Executive at Cohere, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding the company's presence in the ASEAN region. Your primary focus will be on identifying and acquiring new enterprise-level clients, leveraging your exceptional communication skills and technical knowledge to develop tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Customer Success, Sales Development, Marketing, and Sales Engineering, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment.

You will be the voice of the field, providing critical feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to inform the development of Cohere's platform and ensure it meets the evolving needs of its customers.

What You Will Do

  • Focus on net-new logo acquisition through targeted business development activities and relationship-building with key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their challenges and goals to provide tailored solutions
  • Collaborate with channel partners to identify opportunities for scaling outreach and customer satisfaction in the region
  • Work closely with the Sales Development team to drive top-of-funnel activity and identify new business opportunities
  • Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to proof-of-concept and deal close
  • Provide strategic input to the Product and Engineering teams to inform the development of Cohere's platform
  • Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and expand existing relationships
  • Conduct needs analyses and develop tailored value propositions to address the unique challenges of each client
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and stay ahead of the competition

What We Are Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise-level B2B sales, with a proven track record of negotiating and closing large deals
  • Strong understanding of technical products, such as developer tools, API products, or AI/NLP solutions
  • Experience working with channel partners to drive sales cycles and achieve shared revenue goals
  • High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment
  • Curiosity and a desire to develop a deep understanding of Agentic AI and NLP solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insightful recommendations

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with AI or NLP solutions, or a strong desire to learn and develop expertise in these areas
  • Familiarity with the ASEAN region and its unique business landscape
  • Fluency in languages spoken in the ASEAN region, such as Mandarin, Bahasa, or Thai
  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with rapid growth
