About the Role
The Account Executive role at Gannett is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a unique blend of sales, marketing, and relationship-building skills. As a key member of the digital marketing team, you will be responsible for driving new business and growing existing accounts through the sale of digital marketing solutions. This includes managing a pipeline in Salesforce, tracking activity and opportunities, and consistently meeting activity metrics and revenue goals.The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and results-driven individual who is passionate about digital marketing and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. What You Will Do
- Drive new business and grow existing accounts through the sale of digital marketing solutions
- Manage a pipeline in Salesforce, tracking activity and opportunities
- Consistently meet activity metrics and revenue goals in a fast-paced environment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive sales and growth
- Work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Provide feedback and insights to the sales and marketing teams to help improve sales performance and customer engagement
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the client's business needs and goals, and tailor the sales approach accordingly
- Negotiate and close sales deals, and ensure that all sales are accurately recorded and reported
- Provide ongoing support and service to existing clients, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or a related field, with a strong track record of driving sales growth and revenue
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing solutions, including SEM, SEO, social media, and display advertising
- Experience with Salesforce, or similar CRM software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive sales and growth
- A self-motivated and results-driven approach, with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and revenue goals
- A strong understanding of the local business market, and the ability to tailor the sales approach to meet the unique needs of each client
- A bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
