About the Role

The Account Executive, Enterprise role at Fivetran is a strategic position that involves generating new business pipeline and expanding existing relationships with top-tier clients in Germany. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, pitching the value proposition of Fivetran's database replication capabilities, and managing complex sales cycles.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the enterprise software sales landscape and a proven track record of success in managing multiple stakeholders and closing large deals. You will be working closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams, to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth.

What You Will Do

  • Generate new business qualified opportunities by working with tech partners, SI partners, and XDRs, as well as going direct outbound on named accounts in your territory
  • Actively pitch the value proposition of Fivetran's database replication capabilities and the Fivetran platform at large to prospective clients
  • Manage 90-180 day sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and departments to land and expand in enterprise organizations
  • Negotiate responsible deals and manage the procurement process with legal, deal desk, and deal champions
  • Develop trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and senior decision makers at large organizations who will evangelize Fivetran throughout their company
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and optimize sales strategies
  • Provide feedback and insights to the sales and product teams to help improve the sales process and product offerings
  • Participate in sales planning and strategy sessions to contribute to the development of the sales strategy and goals

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in new business sales, demonstrating a track record of success in managing complex sales cycles and closing large deals
  • Proven experience in enterprise software sales, with a strong understanding of the sales landscape and key players
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with senior decision makers
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and communicate the value proposition of Fivetran's database replication capabilities
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, computer science, or engineering
  • Fluency in English and German, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for sales meetings and company events

  • Experience working with data integration or database replication technologies
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms and technologies, such as AWS or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with sales tools and software, such as Salesforce or HubSpot
