About the Role
The Account Executive role at Linear is a critical position that will drive the company's growth and expansion in the European market. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a sales pipeline, building relationships with key stakeholders, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic sales plans to pursue them.The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical sales, with a proven track record of driving growth and revenue in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They will be highly autonomous, with a bias for action and a strong ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the value of Linear's products to technical and non-technical audiences.
What You Will Do
- Become a product expert and help customers use Linear effectively
- Assist prospects through the trial and evaluation phase
- Generate a strong pipeline and exceed quarterly and annual targets
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within accounts
- Stay up to date with our product offering, industry trends, competitive landscape, and market trends
- Continuously adapt sales strategies and approaches for maximum impact
- Be the voice of the customer and advocate for customers by surfacing product or adoption blockers to our product team
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the tech industry and the needs of Linear's customers
- Work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic sales plans
- Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback and insights on product development
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role
- Experience selling to a technical audience, with a bonus if you have previous experience working with a collaboration or developer tool
- SaaS and startup experience, with the ability to work and adapt in a fast-paced and flexible environment
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and product demonstration skills
- Highly autonomous, with a bias for action and a strong ability to work independently
- Strong understanding of the tech industry and the needs of Linear's customers
- Ability to work in a remote environment and collaborate with a distributed team
- Experience with sales tools and technologies, such as CRM and sales automation platforms
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working with a product-led sales motion
- Experience with data analysis and sales metrics
- Familiarity with the European market and the needs of European customers
- Certification in sales or a related field
- Experience working with a remote team and collaborating across different time zones
