About the Role
The Account Executive role at GuidePoint Security is a critical position that involves pro-actively networking, cold calling, and selling cybersecurity solutions to multiple contacts within organizations, including C-level executives. This role is key to managing and developing strong relationships with clients, understanding their goals and concerns, and providing tailored solutions that meet their security needs.Day-to-day, the Account Executive will work closely with clients to identify threats, optimize resources, and integrate best-fit solutions that mitigate risk. This involves a deep understanding of the client's ecosystem and the ability to position GuidePoint Security's services and technologies as the go-to solutions for their cybersecurity challenges.
The role is virtual/remote, with regional travel required, indicating a need for self-motivation, discipline, and excellent communication skills to manage remote relationships effectively.
What You Will Do
- Consistently meet sales and profitability goals set by the company
- Position, configure, and quote product and service solutions to clients, ensuring they meet the clients' specific needs
- Participate in industry organizations to stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies
- Manage leads and opportunities through Salesforce and other CRM tools, ensuring accurate and consistent reporting
- Participate in the creation, editing, and closure of services proposals to provide comprehensive solutions to clients
- Work closely with GuidePoint Security vendors to understand their technologies and articulate their value proposition to clients
- Participate in field marketing efforts to generate interest and provide information to client prospects
- Represent GuidePoint Security consultants to clients, articulating areas of expertise and how they can address client challenges
- Maintain open communication with clients and vendors throughout the sales process
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the cybersecurity industry
- Strong understanding of Salesforce and other CRM tools
- Ability to cold call and network effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in managing and developing client relationships
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and technologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with ISSA, ISACA, OWASP, or similar industry organizations
- Certifications in cybersecurity or sales
- Knowledge of marketing principles to support field marketing efforts
