About the Role

The Account Executive role at Mercury is a unique opportunity for a skilled sales professional to join a cutting-edge fintech company. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. You will work closely with the sales development team to build and execute a pipeline strategy that meets the company's aggressive growth goals. As a full-cycle sales role, you will be responsible for managing the sales process from initial contact to close, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving long-term growth.

What You Will Do

  • Own and manage a pipeline of potential customers, leveraging outbound, inbound, and creative channels to drive growth
  • Conduct high-quality discovery sessions with founders, operators, and finance teams to understand their financial operations and identify potential pain points
  • Develop and execute a tailored sales strategy for each customer, leveraging Mercury's products and services to address their specific needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service and support to drive long-term growth
  • Collaborate with the sales development team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Work closely with the account management team to ensure a seamless handoff of new customers and drive continued growth
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Mercury's products and services, as well as the competitive landscape
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, leveraging this knowledge to drive growth and stay ahead of the competition
  • Provide feedback and insights to the sales and product teams, helping to inform and improve the company's go-to-market strategy
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects, leveraging strong organizational and time management skills to drive results
  • Travel occasionally for conferences, meetings, and other business-related events

What We Are Looking For

  • At least one year of experience in a full-cycle sales role, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of financial operations and workflows, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on adaptability and continuous learning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform sales strategy
  • Experience working with CRM and sales tools, such as Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the fintech industry and the competitive landscape
