About the Role
As an Account Executive at Samsara, you will be responsible for bringing the Internet of Things to mid-sized customers, building Samsara's business, and bringing the benefits of sensor data to customers. You will work closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans to pursue them. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing multiple stakeholders, negotiating pricing, and selling to executives and CXOs.The role requires travel approximately 25% of the time, and you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy. You will be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of physical operations and digitally transforming industries at scale.
Samsara's Connected Operations Cloud is a platform that enables organizations to harness IoT data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. As an Account Executive, you will play a critical role in helping customers unlock the full potential of this platform.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at mid-sized customers
- Manage multiple stakeholders, including executives, CXOs, and other key influencers
- Negotiate pricing and close deals
- Conduct product demonstrations and trials
- Manage and expand the sales pipeline
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Samsara's products and services
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and customer success
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years experience in a full-cycle, closing sales role
- Experience independently closing new deals larger than 0,000 in annual revenue
- Proven track record of consistent quota achievement
- Experience selling in the mid-market space
- High-volume cold calling experience
- SFDC familiarity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
