About the Role
As an Account Executive at Ramp, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to close. This involves developing and executing strategies to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, as well as nurturing existing relationships to ensure long-term partnerships. Your success in this role will have a direct impact on the company's continued growth and expansion.The Ramp sales team is known for its collaborative and dynamic environment, where every member is empowered to take ownership of their work and drive results. As an early member of the team, you will have the opportunity to help shape the sales strategy and contribute to the development of the company's go-to-market approach.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand the customer base
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify potential sales opportunities and tailor solutions to meet the needs of prospective clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at target accounts
- Utilize Salesforce to manage sales activities, track progress, and forecast revenue
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach
- Deliver product demonstrations and presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition of Ramp's financial infrastructure solutions
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring a smooth onboarding process for new customers
- Provide feedback and insights to the sales team and leadership to inform sales strategy and improve overall performance
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity, applying this knowledge to optimize sales approaches and stay ahead of the competition
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in direct SaaS sales, with a proven track record of quota attainment and overachievement
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce and Excel, with the ability to leverage these tools to drive sales efficiency and effectiveness
- Experience in closing deals with average sizes of $50K in ACV, with a strong understanding of the sales process and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- A consultative sales approach, with a strong understanding of customer needs and pain points
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and resilience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
Nice to Have
- Experience selling financial services or working in the fintech industry
- Familiarity with outbound prospecting and sales methodologies
- Certification in sales or a related field, such as a CPSA or CSS
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering
