About the Role

The Account Executive role at Perplexity is a critical position that requires a unique blend of sales, business, and technical skills. As a key member of the Enterprise team, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and forging strong relationships with potential clients. Your day-to-day activities will involve prospecting, pitching, and closing Perplexity Enterprise Pro solutions with large organizations, as well as conducting high-impact product demonstrations and responding to RFPs and technical inquiries.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to navigate complex sales cycles with ease. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Marketing, and Customer Success, to ensure customer satisfaction and solution fit. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role.

As a sales professional, you will be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Perplexity's platform, industry trends, and competitor landscape. You will also be responsible for meeting or exceeding individual and team revenue targets on a monthly and quarterly basis, using CRM tools to maintain accurate records of pipeline and account activity.

What You Will Do

  • Drive new business growth by prospecting, pitching, and closing Perplexity Enterprise Pro solutions with large organizations
  • Develop and execute outreach campaigns tailored to company and industry needs
  • Conduct high-impact product demonstrations and respond to RFPs and technical inquiries
  • Lead client engagement through the entire sales cycle, from initial presentation to closing and onboarding
  • Build and nurture senior-level relationships across enterprise clients, championing Perplexity's value proposition and customer outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and solution fit
  • Maintain accurate records of pipeline and account activity using CRM tools
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor landscape
  • Meet or exceed individual and team revenue targets on a monthly and quarterly basis

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales experience, ideally with enterprise-level clients
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets in a high-growth environment
  • Skilled at complex sales cycles and tailoring messaging to different buyer personas and decision makers
  • Experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to C-suite executives
  • Ability to identify client pain points and map solutions that drive business value
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
