## About the Role As an Account Executive, Platforms (New Business) at Stripe, you will be responsible for creating and nurturing partnerships with software platforms to drive growth and revenue. This role is critical in helping Stripe achieve its mission of increasing the GDP of the internet by providing seamless payment solutions to businesses worldwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, and Finance, to develop and implement tailored solutions for your clients.
The Platform Sales team at Stripe focuses on enabling B2B software platforms to facilitate payments for their customers using Stripe Connect. This team works with a variety of platforms, from small startups to large enterprises, to help them integrate Stripe's payment solutions into their businesses. As a key member of this team, you will be expected to manage and elevate relationships with existing clients while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
The role is based in the US and offers remote work options, providing flexibility and autonomy to high-performing individuals. With a strong track record of sales experience, preferably in a technical product environment, you will be well-equipped to navigate the complexities of this role and drive significant growth for both yourself and the company.
## What You Will Do - Directly manage and nurture a named account list to develop and execute account plans that win and expand business with upper middle market and enterprise companies.
- Build and maintain key relationships with C-level executives and other decision-makers at client companies.
- Contribute to the development of the platform partnership strategy and create repeatable processes and scaled engagement models.
- Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture new business opportunities.
- Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for upper middle market and enterprise companies.
- Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at new and existing clients to understand their needs and position Stripe as a strategic partner.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Product and Engineering, to lead complex product workshops and financial analyses that demonstrate the value of Stripe's solutions.
- Lead and contribute to team projects aimed at refining the sales process and improving sales efficiency.
- Engage with Product and Engineering teams to drive product strategy and ensure that Stripe's offerings meet the evolving needs of the market.
- Extensive experience directly selling to upper middle market and enterprise companies.
- Strong understanding of the software platform ecosystem and the role of payments within it.
- Ability to engage in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of an organization.
- Experience with consultative sales approaches and a proven ability to lead complex, multi-party sales processes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to dig into business models and help customers quantify their investment decisions.
- Independent and self-motivated, with a strong ability to prospect and lead a sales cycle from start to finish.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of the current trends and developments in the digital payments space.
- Familiarity with Stripe's products and services or similar payment solutions.
