About the Role
The Account Executive role at Celonis is pivotal in driving growth through the acquisition of new clients across the retail space. This position is ideal for a sales professional who is passionate about leveraging top-tier products and effective sales strategies to expand market presence. As part of the enterprise sales team, the Account Executive will collaborate closely with Value Engineers, Business Development Representatives, and other cross-functional teams to identify and capture high-value new business opportunities.The retail sector is undergoing significant transformation, with technology playing a critical role in enhancing customer experiences and operational efficiency. Celonis, with its pioneering Process Intelligence technology, is well-positioned to support this transformation. What You Will Do
- Identify and develop new opportunities within a defined territory, targeting enterprise accounts to secure new logos.
- Manage the entire sales process—from prospecting and qualification to closing six-figure deals.
- Engage strategic stakeholders across multiple lines of business, including C-level executives, operational leaders, and key decision-makers.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and demonstrate how Celonis’ solutions can solve their strategic and operational challenges.
- Present use-case-specific pitches and demos, independently or in collaboration with Value Engineers, to highlight the measurable impact of Celonis solutions.
- Collaborate with partners such as Big 4 consulting firms, SaaS providers, and industry partners to enhance the value proposition for prospects.
- Leverage team support, including business development representatives, pre-sales, customer success, marketing managers, and partner managers, to drive success.
- Spend the majority of time in the field meeting with clients to understand their needs and showcase Celonis' capabilities.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the retail sector to maintain a competitive edge.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven SaaS sales experience with a strong track record of success in enterprise SaaS sales, focusing on securing new business and consistently achieving revenue targets.
- Expertise in managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles within large enterprise accounts.
- Experience selling enterprise-level software applications to C-level stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of business processes and KPIs, particularly in the retail sector.
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling abilities to confidently influence senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to leverage internal and external resources to achieve shared goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
