About the Role
The Account Executive role at Cisco is a key position that involves driving revenue growth by selling Splunk solutions to large SLED accounts in the NE region. This role requires a high level of expertise in sales, as well as a deep understanding of the customer's needs and pain points. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing existing relationships and identifying new opportunities for growth.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include working closely with customers to understand their needs and delivering solutions that meet those needs. You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and decision-makers.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and decision-makers
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales engineering and customer success
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and pitches
- Negotiate contracts and close deals
- Manage and maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipelines
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to large enterprises or Public Sector
- At least 2 years of recent sales experience calling on State, Local or Higher Education customers
- Proven track record of exceeding quota in complex, solution-based sales
- Strong executive presence and polish, and excellent listening skills
- Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques
- Knowledge of Force Management, MEDDPICC, and Challenger methodologies is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
- Subscription, SaaS, or Cloud software experience is highly preferred
- Previous experience applying partners, channels, and alliances to sell more efficiently and overachieve quota
- Consistent track record of new business development and over achieving sales targets with prospects and customers
- Experience with Excel and other sales tools and technologies
