About the Role

The Account Executive role at USA TODAY Co. is a critical position that involves building and maintaining relationships with local businesses to help them achieve their digital marketing goals. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and develop customized marketing plans that drive results. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing multiple client accounts, staying up-to-date on the latest digital marketing trends, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional client solutions.

In this role, you will report to a senior account executive or sales manager who will provide guidance, support, and feedback to help you achieve your goals. What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute customized digital marketing plans for local businesses
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their unique needs and goals
  • Manage multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and creative, to deliver exceptional client solutions
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Develop and present customized marketing proposals to clients
  • Negotiate and close new business deals
  • Manage and optimize client budgets to achieve maximum ROI
  • Provide exceptional client service and support to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention

What We Are Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in digital marketing or sales, preferably in a B2B environment
  • Proven track record of success in managing multiple client accounts and driving revenue growth
  • Strong foundation in digital marketing principles, including Google Ads and Salesforce
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with local businesses or in a similar industry
  • Certification in Google Ads or Salesforce
  • Knowledge of SEO, social media marketing, and other digital marketing channels
  • Experience with CRM software and data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, such as virtual and augmented reality
