## About the Role The Account Manager - Broker role at Gravie is a critical position that requires a unique blend of skills, including data analysis, relationship building, and strategic thinking. As the primary point of contact for employer clients, the successful candidate will be responsible for understanding client needs, identifying growth opportunities, and developing strategic account plans. The role will involve working closely with a dedicated account management team, including underwriting, sales, and leadership support, to ensure proactive and ongoing ownership of client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the health insurance industry and the ability to analyze complex data sets to inform business decisions. They will be a skilled communicator, able to explain complex concepts to a variety of audiences, and will have a proven track record of building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. They will be a team player, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. ## What You Will Do - Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive client growth and retention - Analyze client data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges - Build and maintain strong relationships with employer clients, including regular meetings and communication - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting, sales, and leadership support, to ensure proactive and ongoing ownership of client relationships - Conduct monthly reviews of client claims experience, providing updates and recommendations for cost savings - Plan and present quarterly progress reports on goals to clients and brokers - Conduct proactive and data-driven mid-year pulse checks, focused on intervention strategies, renewal planning, and performance optimization - Present strategic renewal proposals to clients and negotiate rates as needed - Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments, and apply this knowledge to inform client relationships and business decisions - Utilize CRM system to manage client information and track interactions - Research and resolve client issues and elevated member issues in a timely and professional manner ## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relationship or account management field - Licensed in health insurance in your home state - 3+ years of account management experience in the health insurance industry - 2+ years of experience using data to gain insights and make strategic recommendations - Experience working in a dynamic environment and comfort researching and solving problems with minimal guidance - 3+ years of experience working collaboratively across several teams and functions - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders - Ability to analyze complex data sets and develop strategic recommendations - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively ## Nice to Have - Previous start-up or emerging growth company experience - Experience with self-insured health plans - Experience establishing processes and standards for superior customer service - Knowledge of Gravie’s marketing campaigns and products - Experience working with CRM systems and data analysis tools ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunity to work with a rapidly growing and innovative company - Collaborative and dynamic work environment - Professional development and growth opportunities - Flexible and remote work arrangements - Access to cutting-edge technology and tools - Comprehensive health insurance and benefits package - Generous paid time off and vacation policy
