About the Role

The Account Manager, Enterprise role at Fivetran is a critical position that requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers in Japan. As the primary point of contact, you will be responsible for driving customer satisfaction, adoption, and revenue expansion. The role entails working closely with the GTM team, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, and other cross-functional teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a mix of sales and post-sales experience, with a strong understanding of the Japanese market and the ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English.

The role is based remotely out of Japan, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the Tokyo office and the APJ hub. With over 100 customers in Japan, Fivetran is committed to expanding its presence in the market, and this role will play a key part in driving that growth.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in Japan, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and adoption
  • Develop and execute account plans to drive revenue expansion and growth
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer outcomes and drive adoption of Fivetran connectors and platform features
  • Provide timely and accurate forecasts for renewals, expansions, and amendments
  • Manage the full contracting lifecycle for your book of customers, working closely with Legal and Sales Ops
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, and other teams to deliver smooth implementation and migration projects
  • Run regular business reviews and create expansion roadmaps tied to business outcomes
  • Translate technical capabilities into measurable business value for customers
  • Drive customer adoption of Fivetran connectors and platform features through consultative, use-case driven conversations
  • Keep Salesforce and forecasting tools up to date with accurate and timely data

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales, or a related field, with a focus on enterprise customers
  • Strong understanding of the Japanese market and the ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English
  • Experience with GTM and Salesforce, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive customer adoption and revenue expansion
  • Experience working with data integration solutions and a strong understanding of the technology
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and outcomes

  • Experience working with Fivetran or similar data integration solutions
  • Knowledge of the Japanese market and the ability to navigate complex cultural and business nuances
