About the Role

The Account Manager position at Thermo Fisher Scientific is a remote, full-time role that entails managing and growing a diverse portfolio of customers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. As a key member of the European Sales team, you will work closely with colleagues across Europe to deliver an outstanding customer experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include developing trusted relationships with customers, understanding their scientific, operational, and commercial needs, and identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships.

What You Will Do

  • Develop trusted relationships with a diverse portfolio of customers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
  • Understand customers' scientific, operational, and commercial needs through meaningful conversations
  • Help customers identify the right laboratory products, chemicals, instruments, and consumables
  • Grow your customer portfolio by proactively engaging existing customers and uncovering new opportunities
  • Deliver against sales goals while creating real value for your customers
  • Engage customers through phone, video meetings, and digital channels
  • Manage opportunities and follow up on leads using Salesforce
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and Field Sales colleagues to ensure customers receive the right level of support
  • Share customer insights to improve products, processes, and digital tools

What We Are Looking For

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a relevant discipline
  • Previous experience in sales, account management, or business development
  • Confidence engaging customers proactively by phone, video, and digital channels
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to navigate complex sales pipelines and build long-term partnerships
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and sales strategy
  • Strong commercial thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a remote team
