## About the Role As an Account Manager at RELX, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction within the corporate legal sector. This role involves managing a portfolio of existing customers, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic account plans to achieve sales goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure effective client management and deployment of internal resources. The corporate legal sector is a critical component of RELX's business, and this role plays a key part in maintaining and expanding the company's market share.
The Account Manager role is a key position within the LexisNexis Legal & Professional team, which serves customers in over 150 countries. The team is committed to delivering innovative solutions that improve productivity and transform the practice of law. As a trusted advisor to your customers, you will provide tailored solutions and consultative sales expertise to help them achieve their business objectives.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of customers, from small to large corporate legal firms, and develop a deep understanding of their needs and challenges. You will also have access to cutting-edge technology and analytics tools, including Adjust and Excel, to help you manage and analyze customer data and develop targeted sales strategies.
## What You Will Do - Manage a portfolio of existing customers to achieve retention and upselling goals - Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales goals and expand product and service offerings - Identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales strategies to pursue them - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective client management and deployment of internal resources - Provide consultative sales expertise and tailored solutions to customers - Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations - Analyze customer data and develop insights to inform sales strategies - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity - Develop and deliver sales presentations and proposals to customers - Negotiate and close sales deals - Manage and track pipeline activity using CRM and other sales tools
## What We Are Looking For - Proven experience in sales, account management, or a related field - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills - Ability to work in a team-selling environment - Solid understanding of solution selling and consultative sales approaches - Functional knowledge of negotiation processes and sales strategies - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Technical aptitude with computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM applications - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
## Nice to Have - Experience working in the corporate legal sector or a related industry - Knowledge of AI and advanced technologies, such as machine learning and natural language processing - Familiarity with sales analytics and pipeline management tools - Certification in sales or a related field, such as CSP or CPSA - Experience working with Adjust and other sales analytics tools
