Job Description

About the Role

The Account Manager Medical South of Germany plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth and market share gain for Danaher's medical solutions in the Southern region of Germany. This role is part of the medical sales team, working closely with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and support in meeting ambitious targets. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a robust local business strategy, leveraging a deep understanding of local market dynamics, future trends, and the competitive landscape.

The ideal candidate will have strong strategic selling experience in a B2B sales environment, with a proven track record in the medical industry. You will be working remotely to cover the Southern region, including Frankfurt, Stuttgart, and Munich. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with key customers and drive awareness and adoption of Leica's solutions.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a robust local business strategy in alignment with EMEA guidelines
  • Research and identify new business opportunities that align with strategic directives
  • Implement a comprehensive key account management strategy for selected medical accounts
  • Continuously assess, clarify, and validate customer needs, providing transparent feedback to upper management and business units
  • Drive awareness and adoption of Leica's solutions through customer visits, consultations, workshops, and information sessions
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for key customers
  • Utilize Danaher Business Systems (DBS) tools to implement daily work and standard management practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and support in meeting ambitious targets
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the medical industry, including emerging technologies and innovations

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong strategic selling experience in a B2B sales environment, with a proven track record in the medical industry
  • International and matrix experience, with demonstrated ability to work in an international environment and within a matrix organization
  • Leadership and communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal and presentation abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights
  • Proficiency in Excel and other DBS tools
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on results and accountability

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with medical devices or equipment
  • Knowledge of the German healthcare system and regulatory environment
  • Certification in sales or marketing, such as a CRM or CPM designation
  • Fluency in multiple languages, including English and German
