Job Description

## About the Role As an Account Manager at Ramp, you will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence within the Sales organization. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing strategies to expand mid-market accounts effectively, leveraging your expertise in building strong relationships with C-Level executives and key decision-makers. This role is pivotal in aligning incentives with customers and bringing Ramp's value proposition to life. You will have the unique opportunity to contribute to building Ramp's Account Management organization and play a crucial role in defining the sales strategy that fuels the company's growth.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will involve managing a portfolio of high-value mid-market customers, ensuring their needs are met, and driving spend across your book of business through retention, adoption, and expansion. You will lead Executive Business Reviews to identify growth opportunities and collaborate with clients on strategy and product releases. Your ability to work closely with the Account Executive and Customer Success teams will be essential in executing successful launches of the Ramp platform.

## What You Will Do - Build and nurture strong relationships across new and existing high-value mid-market customers to better achieve their needs and manage all reporting of health within accounts.

  • Develop deep, multi-threaded relationships with decision makers at your customers.
  • Drive spend across your book of business by owning retention, adoption, expansion within existing products, and growth across your accounts.
  • Lead Executive Business Reviews within your portfolio to identify opportunities for growth and collaborate with clients on strategy and upcoming product releases.
  • Execute successful launches of the Ramp platform across top-tier accounts in partnership with our Account Executive and Customer Success teams.
  • Collaborate with product, support, and marketing teams to provide informed recommendations into Ramp’s product roadmap & customer communication strategy that enhance the customer experience and drive efficiencies throughout the account lifecycle.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and competitor analysis to continuously improve account management strategies.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain detailed records of customer interactions, including meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups.
## What We Are Looking For - Minimum 4 years of new business sales or account management experience in a B2B organization.
  • Ability to anticipate customers’ needs to identify growth opportunities across various types of accounts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with basic sales tools and common metrics.
  • High adaptability and understanding of change within the evolution of a startup.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
