About the Role

The Account Manager position at Vesta Software Group is a critical role that involves selling software, hardware, and services to existing and potential clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting or exceeding agreed sales targets within their allocated region or vertical market. This will involve generating sales through direct selling, conducting sales campaigns, and networking with colleagues and industry contacts.

As an Account Manager, you will be the key point of contact for clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the company's products and services. You will also be responsible for maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the company's product portfolio and staying up-to-date with industry trends and competitor products.

The role will involve working closely with the sales team, product management, and marketing to develop and implement sales strategies that drive growth and revenue. What You Will Do

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company's product portfolio and stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor products
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and revenue
  • Generate sales through direct selling, conducting sales campaigns, and networking with colleagues and industry contacts
  • Manage and develop the company's CRM database to ensure accurate and high-quality sales documentation and correspondence
  • Qualify, develop, and manage leads through to sales conversion
  • Respond to and follow up on all sales enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop and maintain a qualified sales pipeline to enable the achievement of agreed sales targets
  • Fulfill reporting requirements according to deadlines set by the department
  • Identify the needs and wants of potential customers and map a solution to meet these needs
  • Present the company's solution without misrepresentation and demonstrate software solutions and associated products
  • Handle objections and alleviate risks from potential sales opportunities
  • Prepare and present quotations and proposals to sales opportunities and negotiate and close sales

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive experience selling software solutions, ideally within the payments sector
  • Proven record of overachieving sales targets in new business sales
  • Relevant professional sales training and methodology
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to close sales
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to build and foster business relationships
  • Good understanding of technology and how it is applied in business
  • Moderate to high degree of computer literacy and technical competency
  • Demonstrable evidence of organizing customer accounts and project implementation
  • Desire to solve customer problems and ability to maintain focus and deal with objections
