About the Role

The Account Strategist, Paid Media position at Directive Consulting is a pivotal role that involves overseeing and leading a collection of paid media accounts for prominent enterprise clients. This position requires a deep understanding of paid media strategies, including the ability to create, maintain, and optimize budgets across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a performance or digital marketing agency, particularly with B2B SaaS/tech clients.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include serving as the direct point of contact for client inquiries, managing weekly communications with vendors and operational partners, and driving referrals through client relationships and professional networks. The role also involves building customized strategies for clients on a quarterly basis, ensuring lead routing accuracy within CRM systems, and leveraging the value of programmatic campaigns.

As part of the Paid Media team, this role reports to the Associate Director and plays a crucial part in achieving internal and client goals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the Associate Director to ensure the alignment of objectives and the consistent delivery of high-quality results.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee a portfolio of paid media accounts for enterprise clients, ensuring timely and effective campaign execution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client contacts, providing strategic guidance and support to drive campaign success.
  • Conduct weekly communications with vendors and operational partners to ensure alignment on tasks, work quality, and potential improvements.
  • Drive referrals through existing client relationships and professional networks, expanding Directive's presence in the market.
  • Build and execute customized paid media strategies for clients on a quarterly basis, tailoring approaches to meet specific business objectives.
  • Manage and optimize budgets for paid media campaigns across multiple channels, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads.
  • Ensure the accurate routing of leads within CRM systems, facilitating efficient follow-up and conversion processes.
  • Leverage the potential of programmatic campaigns to enhance reach and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director to ensure the achievement of internal and client objectives, contributing to the overall success of the Paid Media team.
  • Execute and optimize PPC advertising campaigns, focusing on keyword research, ad copywriting, and audience targeting to maximize ROI.
  • Analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel to inform data-driven decisions and optimize campaign performance.

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience working at a performance or digital marketing agency, with a focus on B2B SaaS/tech clients.
  • Deep expertise in paid search and paid social advertising campaigns, including proficiency in Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Strong understanding of PPC principles, including keyword research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization.
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance data and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, GA4, and Excel for campaign analysis and optimization.
  • Proven success in driving results and measuring campaign effectiveness through metrics like OCT.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and managing time efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate strategy and tell stories with data.
