About the Role
The Accountant and Advisory Senior Lead role at Orbiss is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen. As a senior lead, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing tailored support to help them achieve their business goals, and mentoring junior team members to enhance their skills and performance. What You Will Do
- Manage a client portfolio from bookkeeping to year-end closing, including bank reconciliation, closing journal entries, P&L analysis, and supporting schedules
- Create timely and accurate accounting reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis
- Detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies
- Propose recommendations to optimize accounting systems and procedures
- Manage intercompany reconciliation and participate in the consolidation process
- Supervise team members in coordinating daily and weekly tasks and activities
- Ensure team adherence to processes and procedures, focusing on operational efficiency and effective tax/accounting execution
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Recommend personnel management decisions for team members, such as promotions and performance evaluations
- Lead or actively participate in structured team discussions, including strategic initiatives and process improvement
What We Are Looking For
- Completion of at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in accounting within an accounting firm
- Strong technical accounting skills, with expertise in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and P&L analysis
- Proficiency in financial reporting, with the ability to produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Sharp analytical skills to detect inaccuracies and investigate account discrepancies
- Problem-solving abilities to propose recommendations for optimizing accounting systems and procedures
- Knowledge of intercompany reconciliation and managing transactions between entities
- Experience in financial consolidation processes for accurate statement preparation
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities to support and guide junior team members
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance and precision in all tasks

- Experience with accounting software and systems, such as Excel

- Certification in accounting, such as CPA
