Job Description

About the Role

As an Accountant at Cresta, you will play a vital role in supporting and scaling the company's accounting function. You will work closely with the Sales, Finance, and HR teams to ensure seamless revenue to cash processes. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth, cutting-edge AI company and contribute to the development of innovative financial systems.

Cresta's accounting team is responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including period-end close activities, vendor bills, and accounts receivable. As an accountant, you will be responsible for executing these activities, as well as providing support to the Sales team and managing expense reports for employees.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business, and at least 1 year of relevant work experience. You will be expected to have strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as a working knowledge of general accounting principles.

What You Will Do

  • Execute period-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and other relevant working papers
  • Manage vendor bills to ensure they are accounted, reviewed, and paid for in accordance with relevant policies
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections efforts, partnering with the Sales team
  • Manage and review expense reports for employees
  • Assist with payroll processing for the company and overseas subsidiaries
  • Support cross-functional teams to optimize operating activities and facilitate strong information flow
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Develop and implement financial models to forecast revenue and expenses
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to analyze financial data and provide insights

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in accounting or auditing
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to be an effective individual contributor by planning, executing, and delivering projects in a timely manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with financial software and systems, such as QuickBooks or Xero
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, or willingness to obtain

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI or machine learning technologies
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting software, such as NetSuite or SAP
  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification
