Job Description

About the Role

The Accountant role at SolutionCX is a remote position that requires a highly skilled professional to manage the internal financial and administrative operations of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial accounting, as well as providing insights and control through management accounting. This role reports directly to the CEO, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and drive business decisions.

Day-to-day, the Accountant will be responsible for hands-on bookkeeping and data entry, invoicing, payment tracking, and collections. They will also work closely with department leads to define and standardize KPIs, ensuring data is submitted accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

  • Manage hands-on bookkeeping and data entry in QuickBooks
  • Prepare and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on collections
  • Coordinate with vendors, scheduling and processing payments
  • Process payroll for W2 employees and 1099 subcontractors
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance, collecting W-9s, COIs, and Workers’ Comp documentation
  • Coordinate with CPA on tax prep, filings, audits, and insurance reviews
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and audit-ready financial records
  • Support monthly close and internal financial reporting
  • Monitor cash flow, track key financial ratios, and identify trends and inefficiencies
  • Support job-costing or project-level financial tracking
  • Create forecasts for future endeavors and investments

What We Are Looking For

  • 3-7+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance administration
  • Strong understanding of transactional accounting and analytical reporting
  • Experience compiling reports and coordinating data across teams
  • Excellent follow-up, communication, and accountability skills
  • Experience in construction, manufacturing, or operations-heavy businesses is a plus
  • Spanish/English bilingual is a plus, but not required
  • Strong understanding of QBO, spreadsheets, and other financial tools

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management software
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Experience with financial forecasting and planning
