## About the Role The Accounting Manager, Crypto Assets, plays a crucial role in Coinbase's continued growth and achievement of operational excellence. As a key member of the Accounting team, the Accounting Manager will report to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for reconciling and analyzing platform data. This role requires a deep understanding of financial systems, as well as the ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Candidates should be prepared to participate in these in-person events and be willing to work in a remote-first environment. ## What You Will Do - Reconcile and analyze ending balances in the company's financial and platform systems - Assist with the launch of new digital assets and products, impacting platform accounting operations - Ensure that appropriate internal controls over platform accounting are in place - Operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions - Recognize the links upstream and downstream, verbalizing the impacts and reliance in connection with changes or enhancements - Provide project requirements and coordinate, manage, and oversee testing to improve existing processes and automate related systems - Provide support for internal and external audits - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement - Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance - Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency ## What We Are Looking For - 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience in the fintech/financial services industries - Minimum 2 years of experience in a manager role - Financial services industry experience, such as fintech, payments, and/or broker dealers - B.A. or B.S degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - A demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges - Desire to exceed expectations and drive positive change in the organization - Operational processes experience - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and digest large amounts of data - Ability to work well in a dynamic environment and recommend and implement process improvements - Experience with generative AI tools and copilots, with the ability to apply human-in-the-loop practices to deliver business-ready outputs ## Nice to Have - Experience with financial planning and analysis - Knowledge of blockchain technology and its applications in the financial industry - Certification in accounting, such as CPA or CMA - Experience with automated accounting systems and software ## Benefits and Perks - Competitive salary and benefits package - Opportunity to work with a leading company in the fintech industry - Collaborative and dynamic work environment - Professional development and growth opportunities - Flexible working hours and remote work options - Access to cutting-edge technology and tools - Comprehensive health and wellness program - Generous PTO and holiday package
