Job Description

About the Role

HireHawk is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to support founder-led consumer product brands across e-commerce, retail, and CPG. This role combines hands-on accounting ownership with client relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute month-end close and financial reporting
  • Manage inventory accounting, including subledger to GL reconciliation, write-offs, and accuracy checks
  • Oversee AP/AR processes, bill payments, and payroll entries
  • Prepare and review financial packages (P&L, Balance Sheet, trend analysis)
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to clients

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • 2+ years in a multi-client, outsourced, or consulting environment
  • Proven ability to own accounting end-to-end (Controller-level capability)
  • Experience managing 1–2 direct reports (bookkeepers)
  • Strong client-facing experience (calls, presentations, communication)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Familiarity with fintech and accounting tools
