About the Role
The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in Exostar's financial team, overseeing key accounting functions and driving business growth. This position will work closely with the Corporate Controller and the CFO to ensure financial data is accurately recorded, reported, and analyzed. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a mix of public and private accounting experience, and a deep understanding of financial processes and systems.As a key member of the financial team, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for developing, directing, and optimizing the month-end consolidation and financial close process. This will involve coordinating and reviewing financial journal entries, guiding and mentoring direct reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, multi-business unit environment.
What You Will Do
- Develop, direct, and optimize the month-end consolidation and financial close process
- Own the month-end close process for several key business processes, including R&D capitalized labor, accounts payable, payroll, benefits, leases, and intercompany transactions
- Coordinate, prepare, and review financial journal entries
- Guide and mentor direct reports
- Perform currency revaluation and foreign exchange monitoring
- Prepare and review complex accounting reconciliations
- Coordinate and assist in the financial statement audit
- Complete monthly reconciliation of key accounts
- Identify and document anomalies
- Improve, optimize, and document financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare and review financial statements and relevant footnotes in accordance with GAAP
- Support management in providing necessary support and analysis for external inquiries
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Mix of public and private accounting experience
- 6+ years of corporate accounting experience
- Technical and functional knowledge of NetSuite, MS Suite, including Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to perform technical accounting research
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- CPA license preferred
- Experience working in a SaaS/Software industry
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-business unit environment
