About the Role

The Accounting Manager role at Kognitiv Inc. is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. As a key member of the finance team, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the global accounting function, managing a remote team of accountants and analysts, and driving process improvements to support the company's rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS, as well as experience with multi-entity consolidations and financial reporting.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the global accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
  • Manage multi-entity consolidations and financial reporting under GAAP and IFRS
  • Develop and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Lead and mentor a remote team of accountants and analysts
  • Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and manage the audit process
  • Develop and maintain a scalable infrastructure to support the company's global operations

What We Are Looking For

  • 5-8 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on global accounting principles and multi-entity operations
  • Proven experience managing a remote team of accountants and analysts
  • Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel and ERP systems
  • Experience with AI and automation tools
  • Global entity experience, including knowledge of cross-border accounting and foreign exchange
  • People leadership skills, with a focus on remote and cross-cultural stewardship
  • Strategic ownership and the ability to translate high-level company goals into tactical accounting actions
  • Stakeholder influence and the ability to communicate financial realities to cross-functional global stakeholders
