About the Role
The Accounting Manager role at Kognitiv Inc. is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. As a key member of the finance team, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the global accounting function, managing a remote team of accountants and analysts, and driving process improvements to support the company's rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global accounting principles, including GAAP and IFRS, as well as experience with multi-entity consolidations and financial reporting.The Accounting Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining a scalable infrastructure that supports the company's global operations. This will involve diagnosing inefficiencies, implementing process improvements, and leveraging technology to drive automation and innovation. The role will also require strong leadership and mentoring skills, as the Accounting Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a high-performing team of accountants and analysts.
What You Will Do
- Lead the global accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
- Manage multi-entity consolidations and financial reporting under GAAP and IFRS
- Develop and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
- Lead and mentor a remote team of accountants and analysts
- Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and manage the audit process
- Develop and maintain a scalable infrastructure to support the company's global operations
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement
- Manage the company's global accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
What We Are Looking For
- 5-8 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on global accounting principles and multi-entity operations
- Proven experience managing a remote team of accountants and analysts
- Strong technical skills, including advanced Excel and ERP systems
- Experience with AI and automation tools
- Global entity experience, including knowledge of cross-border accounting and foreign exchange
- People leadership skills, with a focus on remote and cross-cultural stewardship
- Strategic ownership and the ability to translate high-level company goals into tactical accounting actions
- Stakeholder influence and the ability to communicate financial realities to cross-functional global stakeholders
- Innovation-driven and the ability to actively look for ways to do things faster, smarter, and more accurately using technology
