About the Role
The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting Expedock's global Freight & Logistics client base. This position involves managing vendor relationships, ensuring financial accuracy, and coordinating with international teams and the payments department. The ideal candidate will be adept at working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and will possess a keen eye for detail.As a key member of the financial team, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing high volumes of invoices, managing vendor accounts, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, and excellent communication skills to liaise with vendors, internal teams, and other stakeholders.

What You Will Do
- Manage and process invoices from various vendors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

- Coordinate with internal teams, including the payments department, to ensure seamless financial operations
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with international teams to ensure global consistency in financial practices
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Prepare and review financial reports as required
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding financial transactions
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Expedock's financial systems and processes
What We Are Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably within the freight and logistics industry
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a virtual environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with ERP software and other financial management tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage high-volume email workflows and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
