About the Role

The Accounts Receivable Representative role at Versant Health is a critical position that involves managing and reconciling accounts, handling client inquiries, and ensuring the efficient operation of the company's financial systems. As a key member of the finance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for posting checks and wires, balancing and auditing accounts, and providing effective communication with clients and staff. What You Will Do

  • Post checks and wires, and balance and audit accounts to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide effective communication with clients and staff, handling inquiries and issues in a courteous and professional manner
  • Research and apply daily cash to accounts, utilizing Excel spreadsheets and financial systems
  • Enter daily and weekly credit and debit adjustments into financial systems
  • Work closely with clients, brokers, and internal teams to resolve billing and statement issues
  • Manage tracking of adhoc billing in various Versant systems and apply funds
  • Establish work procedures and processes for billing and accounts receivable that support company and departmental standards
  • Maintain and support SOX and SOC related control activities, retaining evidence as needed
  • Support the month-end close across all of finance, and provide guidance to the team when there is a technical question
  • Prepare various journal entries and review balance sheets and reconciliations
  • Respond to inquiries from group customers, providers, and client managers regarding receivable balances due

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a similar industry or role
  • Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to utilize spreadsheets and financial systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams
  • Ability to multitask and handle a variety of tasks, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues and concerns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Experience with financial systems and software, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability

Nice to Have

  • Experience with billing and accounts receivable software, such as QuickBooks or similar systems
  • Certification in accounting or a related field, such as CPA or CMA
  • Experience with SOX and SOC related control activities, with knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
