Job Description

## About the Role The Activity Planner role at RELX is a critical component of the company's continuing professional development efforts. This position entails planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating accredited continuing medical education activities that address identified practice gaps and meet learner and patient care needs. As part of the Elsevier Health team, the Activity Planner will work closely with clinical teams, subject matter experts, and operational stakeholders to deliver high-quality, evidence-based education. The Activity Planner will be responsible for ensuring that all educational activities comply with accreditation standards and policies. This includes defining target audiences, learning objectives, and expected outcomes, as well as developing and reviewing measurable, outcomes-based learning objectives tied to practice gaps and educational goals. The role is part of a larger effort to provide accessible, trusted evidence-based information to healthcare professionals, and to support a more personalized and localized healthcare experience. By working together with various stakeholders, the Activity Planner will contribute to the development of high-quality educational programs that improve clinician performance and patient outcomes. ## What You Will Do - Support the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of accredited CPD activities aligned to identified practice gaps and educational needs - Define target audiences, learning objectives, and expected outcomes to improve clinician performance, patient outcomes, and system effectiveness - Develop and review measurable, outcomes-based learning objectives tied to practice gaps and educational goals - Ensure content is evidence-based, clinically relevant, balanced, and incorporates adult learning principles and engagement strategies - Maintain compliance with accreditation standards, policies, and joint provider ship/interprofessional CE requirements - Manage disclosure processes, identify and mitigate financial conflicts, and ensure separation from commercial influence - Review materials for bias, accuracy, and completeness, including accreditation statements, disclosures, and learner requirements - Collaborate with faculty, SMEs, and planning committees; provide guidance on CME expectations, timelines, and content alignment - Oversee activity operations, including evaluations, learner assessments, reporting, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives - Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for educational activities - Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives ## What We Are Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, adult education, instructional design, or related field - Experience in continuing medical education, nursing continuing professional development, healthcare education, medical education, clinical education, or adult learning - Knowledge of accredited CPD planning principles, educational design, assessment, and evaluation - Strong organizational, project management, writing, and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare professionals, faculty, subject matter experts, and operational teams - Ability to manage multiple activities, deadlines, and documentation requirements - Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and online learning or content management platforms - Experience with Adjust and Excel is an asset - Certification in continuing medical education or a related field is preferred ## Nice to Have - Experience with learning management systems and online course development - Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models - Familiarity with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements - Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment ## Benefits and Perks - Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage - Retirement benefits, including 401(k) with match and an Employee Share Purchase Plan - Wellness programs, including a wellness platform with incentives, Headspace app subscription, and Employee Assistance Program - Paid time off, including vacation days, sick leave, and holidays - Opportunities for professional development and continuing education - Flexible work arrangement, including remote work options - Access to cutting-edge technology and tools - Collaborative and dynamic work environment
