Job Description

About the Role

The Ad Monetization Manager role at Leadtech is a critical position that requires a deep understanding of programmatic advertising, ad mediation, and data analysis. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing ad monetization strategies across multiple apps and platforms. Your primary goal will be to maximize ad revenue while ensuring a positive user experience.

The role involves working closely with the Product, UA, and Data teams to identify opportunities for growth and optimization. You will need to have a strong analytical mindset and be able to interpret complex data to inform your decisions. The ideal candidate will have experience in mobile app advertising monetization, with a focus on non-gaming apps.

What You Will Do

  • Design, implement, and optimize waterfalls on mediation platforms such as AppLovin MAX, IronSource/Unity LevelPlay, and AdMob/Google Ad Manager
  • Configure and manage dynamic floor prices and real-time bidding (in-app bidding) to maximize eCPM
  • Evaluate and onboard new ad networks and programmatic demand
  • Monitor key KPIs such as eCPM, fill rate, ARPDAU, ad revenue per session, and impression share
  • Run cohort analyses and A/B tests on ad formats, frequencies, and integrations
  • Identify data-driven improvement opportunities using BI tools such as Looker, BigQuery, and Amplitude
  • Define the ad format strategy per app, including interstitials, rewarded, banners, native, and MREC
  • Collaborate with the Product team to properly integrate ad placements into the user flow
  • Manage relationships with ad networks, including Meta Audience Network, AppLovin, IronSource, Mintegral, Vungle, and InMobi
  • Negotiate guaranteed deals and header bidding arrangements with strategic partners
  • Stay up to date on programmatic market trends and policy changes, including ATT and privacy regulations

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in mobile app advertising monetization
  • Demonstrable experience in the gaming industry, with knowledge of waterfalls in F2P games, rewarded ad management, and mixed monetization logic (IAP + Ads)
  • Experience in non-gaming apps, including lifestyle, health, utilities, and tools
  • Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in at least one mediation platform, such as AppLovin MAX, IronSource LevelPlay, or AdMob
  • Familiarity with monetization SDKs and their integration (iOS/Android)
  • Advanced data analysis skills, including SQL, BigQuery, or Looker
  • Knowledge of ATT (App Tracking Transparency), SKAdNetwork, and their impact on fill rate and targeting
  • Understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, PMPs, and Open Auction

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MMPs (AppsFlyer, Adjust) and ad revenue attribution
  • Knowledge of RevenueCat and hybrid monetization logic (subscriptions + ads)
  • Experience in high-volume freemium apps (>1M DAU)
  • Familiarity with GDPR, TCF 2.x, and consent management platforms (CMP)
  • Experience at a portfolio company managing multiple apps or a mid-to-large-sized publisher
