Job Description

About the Role

As an Oracle Database Administrator at TEHORA, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the company's Oracle databases. This will involve ensuring the security, integrity, availability, and performance of the databases, as well as collaborating with the team on migration projects and providing technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, with experience in managing large-scale databases and a deep understanding of Oracle technologies such as Enterprise Manager, Grid Infrastructure, and Data Guard.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the databases, including backups, recovery, and access control. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with other administrators, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that the databases are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Administer and maintain Oracle databases, including troubleshooting, backups, and recovery
  • Ensure the security, integrity, availability, and performance of the databases
  • Collaborate with the team on migration projects, including planning, execution, and testing
  • Monitor database performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency
  • Provide technical support to developers and other stakeholders
  • Document database models and updates, including data dictionaries and entity-relationship diagrams
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including installation guides and troubleshooting manuals
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle technologies and trends, including cloud infrastructure and machine learning

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 8 years of experience in database administration, including 5 years with Oracle
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager, Grid Infrastructure, and Data Guard
  • Strong understanding of database security, including access control, backups, and recovery
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, including Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to think critically
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT service management principles

Nice to Have

  • Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence, including Oracle's AI and ML capabilities
  • Knowledge of containerization, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
