About the Role
The Ads Conversion Modeling, Machine Learning Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining machine learning models that drive user conversions from Reddit Ads. This team is responsible for creating and implementing state-of-the-art conversion models, focusing on predictive modeling around interactions like purchase, signup, add to cart, and other lower funnel user actions. As a leader in this space, you will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive business growth.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machine learning principles, model architectures, and experience in training and deploying production-grade models. You will be responsible for defining the team's vision, setting strategic direction, and executing a technical roadmap for conversion modeling at Reddit.

What You Will Do
- Define the team's vision and set strategic direction for conversion modeling at Reddit
- Lead a diverse team of machine learning engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Architect and implement deep learning models for conversion modeling
- Develop and maintain large-scale data generation and processing pipelines
- Oversee the model development lifecycle from ideation to deployment
- Ensure high standards of ML performance and robustness
- Collaborate with PM, DS, and engineering functions within Ads to drive business growth
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the team
- Develop and execute a roadmap for conversion modeling, balancing innovative modeling approaches with business objectives
What We Are Looking For
- Expertise in architecting and implementing deep learning models
- Experience in ranking, recommendation, or conversion modeling
- Proficiency with mainstream ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience in training, testing, and deploying production-grade machine learning models
- Strong understanding of data pipelines and experience orchestrating large-scale data generation and processing
- Experience in interaction of ranking model with rest of Ads systems like bidding, auction, retrieval
- Background in ads modeling or familiarity with engagement prediction models in the ads domain
- Prior experience managing engineering teams with a strong emphasis on technical mentorship and team growth
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
