About the Role

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner role at Bupa is a unique opportunity for experienced nurses to work remotely and deliver primary care services to patients. What You Will Do

  • Deliver primary care consultations to patients remotely, using advanced clinical skills and expertise
  • Manage patient care, including diagnosing and treating conditions, prescribing medications, and referring patients to specialists as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences
  • Conduct health assessments, including physical examinations and medical history taking
  • Provide health education and counseling to patients, promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention
  • Manage medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices in primary care
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with the latest medical research and advancements
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures

What We Are Looking For

  • Current NMC Registration (Adult Nurse) with no restrictions to practice
  • MSc or PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice
  • Independent prescribing qualification (V300)
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical practice as a registered nurse
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a primary care advanced nurse practitioner
  • Independent prescriber with at least 2 years of experience
  • Current Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Current Safeguarding Children and Adult Level 3
  • Ability to evidence implementation of the four pillars of advanced practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in remote working
  • Experience working in a primary care setting
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
  • Certification in a specialized area of practice, such as diabetes or cardiovascular care
