The Advanced Nurse Practitioner role at Bupa is a unique opportunity for experienced nurses to work remotely and deliver primary care services to patients. What You Will Do
- Deliver primary care consultations to patients remotely, using advanced clinical skills and expertise
- Manage patient care, including diagnosing and treating conditions, prescribing medications, and referring patients to specialists as needed
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account patient needs and preferences
- Conduct health assessments, including physical examinations and medical history taking
- Provide health education and counseling to patients, promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention
- Manage medical records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices in primary care
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with the latest medical research and advancements
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures
- Provide feedback and support to other team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment
What We Are Looking For
- Current NMC Registration (Adult Nurse) with no restrictions to practice
- MSc or PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice
- Independent prescribing qualification (V300)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical practice as a registered nurse
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a primary care advanced nurse practitioner
- Independent prescriber with at least 2 years of experience
- Current Basic Life Support Certificate
- Current Safeguarding Children and Adult Level 3
- Ability to evidence implementation of the four pillars of advanced practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in remote working
- Experience working in a primary care setting
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
- Certification in a specialized area of practice, such as diabetes or cardiovascular care
