About the Role

The Aero New Units Project Finance Manager is a critical position at GE Vernova, responsible for ensuring the financial health and compliance of projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will be accountable for managing financial reporting, leading project financial reviews, and driving process simplification to ensure operational excellence.

As a Project Finance Manager, you will be working closely with the Project Team, Region Finance, and Ops to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis. What You Will Do

  • Manage financial reporting and closing of projects in accordance with US GAAP
  • Provide overall project financial leadership, including reviewing contracts, organizing budget handovers, and ensuring project reviews accurately reflect project financial status
  • Partner with the Project Team to analyze execution performance and propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile
  • Drive and support the Project Team in resolving complex situations that arise during project execution, ensuring the best financial outcome for GE
  • Collaborate with the Region/HQ FP&A team to ensure any variances to Plan are timely reflected in weekly QMIs
  • Validate and accurately capture project accounting entries in the respective ledgers
  • Connect with the tax team to understand local implications
  • Review and sign off project trial balance, ensuring all required supporting documentations are available for internal and external audit requests
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to drive LEAN and standardization of work
  • Collaborate with FP&A for developing estimates, plans, forecasts, and reviews

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
  • Prior Project Finance Management experience
  • Strong experience in Finance/Accounting areas, with supply chain finance being an advantage
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and preferably SAP/POWERMAX
  • Fluent in English, both orally and written
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle big databases, running reports from ERP, with Oracle experience being an advantage
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize under pressure
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and commitment to meeting deliverables

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a similar industry or role
  • Certification in finance or accounting, such as CPA or CMA
  • Experience with project management tools and software
  • Knowledge of tax implications and regulations
