About the Role
The Aerospace Product Manager position at SGS is a key role that encompasses the management of the company's Aerospace program in North America. This includes overseeing audit activities, supporting business development, and ensuring the quality of services delivered meets the required standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of auditors and working closely with the business development team to identify new opportunities and grow the business.The role is 100% remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the world. As a product manager, the candidate will be expected to have a deep understanding of the aerospace industry, including the relevant standards and regulations. They will also need to possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of auditors.
What You Will Do
- Lead the North America Aerospace Program and accreditation functions to ensure the quality of the service delivered meets specified business requirements
- Work proactively with the NAM Business Teams to support the development of enhanced customer services and resolve potential conflicts
- Carry out AS9100 and AS9120 audits as an AS Lead Auditor
- Support the NAM business team with their business development activities, including following trends in the AS market and providing technical content
- Review and action any applicable IAQG Resolutions and add to the Resolutions log
- Monitor all AS auditors for audit package turnaround time
- Review or assign audit packs for tech review and ensure completion on time
- Review all Aerospace client NCR submissions and approve or reject them to get a resolution prior to the certificate decision
- Answer and address all OASIS feedback notices
- Attend quarterly Registration Management Committee meetings
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in a management or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and AS9120 standards
- Experience with audit management and business development
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Certification in AS9100 or AS9120 auditing
Nice to Have
- Experience with Aerospace business development and marketing
- Knowledge of IAQG Resolutions and applicable aerospace standards
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills
