About the Role
The Agentic Operator role at Close is a unique opportunity for a growth marketer to own the website and trial funnel, driving conversion and experimentation with AI-native operations. As a key member of the growth team, you will be responsible for optimizing every step of the user journey, from the moment a visitor lands on the website to the moment they become an active trial user. Your work will have a significant impact on the company's growth engine, with the potential to compound returns over time.The ideal candidate will be conversion-obsessed, with a passion for testing and optimizing every aspect of the website. You will be hands-on, writing copy, pulling data, briefing engineers, reviewing design, and shipping experiments. Your ability to think like a product owner, always with a roadmap, hypothesis, and something running, will be crucial to success in this role.
What You Will Do
- Own the website roadmap, landing page architecture, messaging on every conversion surface, trial signup flow, and pricing page.
- Build and run an agent-assisted testing machine, shipping multiple experiments per month.
- Make AI core to how the website works, including personalized landing experiences, copy variants, and content briefs.
- Win at LLM-powered search, building systems to get Close cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
- Connect the website to trial to activation, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Prove the impact of your work, tracking visitor to trial conversion, trial signup volume, experiment velocity, and win rate.
What We Are Looking For
- 8-12 years of experience in growth marketing at a SaaS or PLG company, with a focus on website performance and trial funnel optimization.
- Technical skills, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with modern search, including traditional SEO and LLM-powered answer engines.
- Ability to think like a systems thinker, understanding CAC, LTV, and payback.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to point to specific experiments and results.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agent-assisted workflows and AI-native operations.
- Knowledge of ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, and their applications in search and content optimization.
- Familiarity with landing page architecture and messaging optimization.
